Legal Plan
One of the excellent benefits available to members of Local 1500 is the Legal Services Plan. Once again, this plan is paid for completely by the employer.
The purpose of the plan is to assist members in paying the cost of necessary personal legal services. While our plan doesn't pay the entire cost of the legal expenses occurred, it does pay a generous portion. Legal cost covered in the plan, but limited to, are the following:
- Adoptions
- Bankruptcy
- Criminal Proceedings
- Immigration
- Landlord-Tenant problems
- Closing on a house
- Wills
Please note that amount of coverage may vary. However, the members of Local 1500, Full and Part time, do receive some reimbursement for the above-mentioned cost.
In addition, the members can call the Plan Attorney for an initial free consultation on any problem you may be facing.
This program is rare and is not often found in jobs that are not covered by a Union contract.
